She then details several success stories from WHSmith, highlighting the ways the team has chosen to support their employees, customers, and local communities through environmental management and employee recognition.

Facebook Steps it Up - Personalized URLs Here We Come

Although we think a Facebook page is still a colossal waste of time, we do have to salute their recent move. As of midnight last night, Facebook users can now customize their profile address. The switch sounds like another way for Facebook to emulate networks such as Twitter and MySpace that already offer users customized URLs....but Facebook seems to have deeper pockets in mind.

Though I was born and raised in Southern California, I spent a few years in Portland at the beginning stages of my design career and fell in love with the amazing culture. I've since moved back to San Diego and I'm not complaining about the endless sunshine....but every now and then, video's like this one feel bittersweet.

Ah Gee Boy! Twitter Growing Pains

Uh oh, it looks like our favorite social networking site is experiencing some serious growing pains!! With users like @Oprah going from zero followers to a million in less than 28 days....twitter's explosive growth is not without its problems.

TechCrunch writes:

"Twitter just went through an awful 24-hour stretch. It included taking away a feature some people loved, probably being misleading about it, getting a huge amount of backlash, halfway bringing the feature back, and getting railed by the press for it all — with bouts of downtime mixed in for good measure."
